Job Summary


IT Vendor Manager is a strategic role based at Swissport headquarters, and is accountable for managing IT vendors globally. This role plays a key part in the ongoing IT transformation at Swissport, and is responsible for ensuring optimum services & performance delivered by our strategic vendors. This role includes but not limited to working towards consolidating our vendors portfolio, managing vendor related risks, optimizing vendor performance, ensuring effective and efficient working methods to enhance our position with our vendors and help set up a global Vendor Management Office. IT Vendor Management reports to the Head IT Vendor Management.


Job Responsibilities


  • Rollout of the vendor governance framework globally
  • Setup and transition IT Vendor Management to a Global Partner Delivery Office
  • Drive and be part of Vendor Management daily operational reviews
  • Define, monitor and report vendors’ performance, costs
  • Prepare and implement performance improvement plans and monthly reports
  • Deliver and produce monthly vendor summaries for C-Level reports
  • Enhance and drive efficient DMAIC methodologies with vendors and business
  • Steer relationships with strategic vendors towards a collaborative working model
  • Coach and manage global pseudo vendor managers across Swissport Vendor
  • Management frameworks
  • Close working collaboration with indirect procurement department


Qualifications and Competencies


  • Min. 4 years’ experience in IT Vendor Management
  • Min. 3 years in a previous IT technical role
  • Experience in working in globally distributed virtual teams
  • Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic and multi-cultural lean matrix organization
  • Advance skills with Office products & SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma DMAIC approach
  • Strong documentation mindset
  • Strong presentation skills with a high level to detail
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Approachable with a coaching / mentoring mindset
  • Fluent with oral and written English. Any other languages would be an advantage
